RED DOT DESIGN AWARD 2026

UMAGE is proud to announce that both the Lemon Squeeze Linear pendant and the Heiko dining chair have been honoured with the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2026. Recognised for their thoughtful balance of form, function and craftsmanship, the two designs reflect UMAGE’s continued commitment to creating timeless pieces that bring beauty and purpose into everyday living.

Designed by Søren Ravn Christensen, Lemon Squeeze Linear carries the signature rippled extruded glass of the Lemon Squeeze collection into a sleek, elongated form. With its soft, even illumination and sculptural presence, the pendant balances nostalgic charm with a contemporary expression, making it a refined lighting piece for modern interiors.

The Heiko dining chair, designed by Nicola Bonriposi, blends Danish design heritage with the purity of Japanese aesthetics. True to its name, meaning “balance” in Japanese, Heiko explores harmony through its curved silhouette, solid yet subtle construction and calm, sculptural presence.

“We are incredibly proud to receive the Red Dot Award for both Lemon Squeeze Linear and Heiko,” says Søren Ravn Christensen, Co-owner and Chief Creative Developer of UMAGE. “Though different in expression, both designs reflect our ambition to create functional, sculptural pieces that enrich the spaces they become part of.”

The Red Dot recognition reaffirms UMAGE’s dedication to high-quality design solutions that combine aesthetics, function and lasting value.
